Uganda National Evaluation Case Competition(UNECC)

The Uganda National Evaluation Case Competition (UNECC) 2025 is now inviting Expressions of Interest from student teams across Uganda. UNECC acts as the national platform to select the country’s top team to represent Uganda at the 8th Annual World Evaluation Case Competition (WECC) on November 8, 2025. WECC is an international challenge where student teams globally solve a real-world evaluation case within nine hours, with submissions reviewed by expert judges who provide constructive feedback. UNECC offers students a chance to enhance their evaluation skills, apply academic knowledge to practical cases, and compete on a global stage.

Eligible participants include teams of 3 to 5 students currently enrolled in Ugandan universities or higher learning institutions, with a preference for multidisciplinary teams from fields such as evaluation, statistics, economics, social sciences, public health, and management. Teams must commit to participating in both the national UNECC round and, if successful, the global WECC round. During UNECC, teams analyze a case study within a set time and submit their responses, which are assessed by national evaluators and academics using WECC’s scoring criteria.
