The 12th AfrEA International Conference in Marrakech, Morocco (23 to 27 November 2026)
As we continue to prepare for the 12th AfrEA International Conference in Marrakech, Morocco (23 to 27 November 2026), we are highlighting each of the four conference strands to help you identify where your work best fits as you prepare your proposals.
We begin with Strand One.
Strand One: Rethinking Development Paradigms in the Era of the Polycrisis, What transformative role can evaluation play in strengthening resilience in Africa?
In plain terms, the world is facing several crises at once, including economic, climate, health, and conflict. This strand invites reflection on how evaluation can help Africa become more resilient and rethink the way development is approached in this context. If your research or practice speaks to resilience, transformation, or new ways of thinking about development on the continent, this is the strand for you.
To support your submission, we have also attached the Conference Concept Noteand the Call for Abstracts, which provide the full context, the submission requirements, and the key dates.
As a reminder, the deadline for abstract submission is 30 July 2026.
Abstracts may be submitted through the online portal at https://afrea.org/conf2026/
We look forward to receiving your proposals, and we encourage you to share this with colleagues who may be interested.
Warm regards,
